VoteBoard: real-time board voting without “refresh the page”
We built voting in VoteBoard over WebSocket: directors see results instantly, without F5 and stale numbers. For scenarios like this, it’s not just convenient — it’s critical when decisions are made here and now.

We built VoteBoard voting over WebSocket: directors see results instantly, without F5 and the magic of “I still have the old numbers.” For scenarios like this, it’s not just convenient — it’s critical when decisions are made here and now.
We also improved batch voting: all votes are sent in a single batch request. Why does that matter? Atomicity. Either the entire batch is recorded, or nothing is — no “two items were saved, the third got lost.” For legally significant procedures, this is a must-have, not a nice-to-have.
We also added a REMOTE format with a time window: if the board is spread across time zones, everyone can vote at a convenient time, without calls in the style of “it’s 11:00 PM here, and you’re on a coffee break.”
Against the backdrop of the trend toward distributed teams and async-first processes, these mechanics are no longer a feature — they’re the baseline.
