Soft delete, but with a brain
In PDP, we implemented soft deletion for deals: now a deal doesn’t just disappear, it goes into history with a mandatory rejection reason. This is no longer just a delete, but a source of analytics.

In PDP, we implemented soft deletion for deals — now a deal doesn’t disappear into nowhere, it goes into history with a mandatory rejection reason.
What we did:
• added 13 predefined reasons: expired, bought from a competitor, delivery date doesn’t work, we don’t work with military mortgages, and others;
• preserved the full deal lifecycle: creation → invoicing → waiting → confirmation → expiration;
• turned deletion from “oops, by accident” into a proper source of analytics.
In practice, this is no longer just a delete, but a small data-driven upgrade. While everyone around is talking about AI, we started with the basics: first we collect high-quality rejection reasons, then we tune the funnel without guessing from coffee grounds.
Now we can see where we’re actually losing customers and what needs to be fixed in the sales process.
