Brought deleted users back to life — without zombie duplicates
Implemented recovery of deleted entities in two projects: in PDP Mobile we restore a resident together with all related context, and in WikiMind we automatically reactivate a soft-deleted user through OIDC without creating duplicates.

We had a classic case from the series: “the user was deleted, and now they’re needed again… urgently”. We implemented recovery of deleted entities in two projects at once.
In PDP Mobile, we updated the recovery endpoint so that a resident who had been evicted comes back not “from scratch,” but together with all the context: history, meter associations, and passes. In other words, no manual wizardry and no data loss.
In WikiMind, we fixed an even more painful case: if a user was soft deleted and then signed in again through OIDC, the system now automatically reactivates them instead of creating a duplicate. In the era of SSO-first and identity chaos, this is a must-have.
In short: fewer bugs like “is this the same person or a new one?”, less routine work for the team, and more consistency in the data. A small change, but in practice it’s a solid UX improvement, and admin work got easier too.
