Printing labels without pain: EAN-13, Code128, DataMatrix

In SellerHub, we closed a very practical but critical task: we built label generation and printing in several formats. EAN-13 — for products, Code128 — for cartons, DataMatrix — for “Chestny ZNAK” labeling.

The most important part is not just to “draw a barcode,” but to produce a PDF with exact geometry for thermal printers. In real life, being off by 1 mm means the warehouse is already looking at you like you’re the source of chaos 😅

For large sellers with 10,000+ SKU, we added batch generation and pagination so this wouldn’t turn into a quest called “print it and survive.”

Against the backdrop of constant e-commerce growth and labeling requirements, things like this are no longer nice-to-have — they’re table stakes. We made sure printing works predictably, quickly, and without the kind of magic where “it looks fine on one printer, but shifts on another.”
