Passes Without the Pain: Templates, QR, and a Three-System Partnership
At PDP Mobile, we built a pass management system so security wouldn’t have to operate in the mode of “who is this, and why is he already at the barrier?”. We added templates, QR, and integration between three systems.
At PDP Mobile, we built a pass management system so security wouldn’t have to operate in the mode of “who is this, and why is he already at the barrier?” 😅
What we built:
— guest passes: QR + unique token
— vehicle passes: by license plate number
— 5 templates: guest, courier, company vehicle, site, site + parking
— configurations: single-use, reusable with a limit, indefinite
The main part was the integration. We had to connect 3 systems at once: PDP, an external CRM, and ACS. As often happens in 2025, perfect synchronization doesn’t exist, so we went with eventual consistency plus retry logic. If one system “blinked,” the data wasn’t lost and arrived later.
Result: templates speed up pass issuance, QR makes entry simpler, and the integration doesn’t fall apart under real-world conditions. A kind of anti-chaos system for the checkpoint 👌
