How We Connected a Mobile App to an Access Control System
In PDP Mobile, we integrated the app with the access control system so that access works without a scavenger hunt for “where’s my key fob?”. We connected barriers, gates, intercoms, and Bluetooth access into one setup.

The best part: the camera recognizes the license plate — and the barrier opens automatically. Yes, that exact scenario where you pull up with coffee instead of juggling your phone at the window 😅
Under the hood, there’s no magic, just strict logic: we have several types of identifiers — QR pass tokens, license plate tokens, and resident access cards. Each one has its own lifecycle: issuance, validation, expiration, revocation, and separate verification rules.
Against the backdrop of the move toward phygital services and seamless access, this is no longer a “nice-to-have for later” feature, but basic product hygiene. We packaged it in a way that is convenient for people and not painful for the infrastructure.
