How We Built Independent Deployments for 20+ Microfrontends
At AeroPort, we got to every frontend engineer’s dream: ship each microfrontend separately and not pray that nothing else breaks. What we did and where it led us.

At AeroPort, we got to every frontend engineer’s dream: ship each microfrontend separately and not pray that nothing else breaks 😅
What we did:
— set up independent deployments for 20+ microfrontends; — added contract testing so changes wouldn’t break neighboring services; — enabled canary releases: first, a small share of users sees the update, and only then does everyone else; — established governance, code review standards, and common deployment pipelines for 20+ teams.
Result: each service can be updated or rolled back independently. No shared releases in the style of “a call with 40 people on a Friday evening.” In an era when release speed is basically a KPI, this kind of architecture isn’t hype — it’s the baseline.
