Elasticsearch in the admin panel: when SQL is getting tired
At PDP Mobile, we introduced Elasticsearch for full-text user search in the management company admin panel. It made the admin panel faster while preserving convenient search across a large dataset.

In PDP Mobile, we introduced Elasticsearch for full-text user search in the management company admin panel. When you’re not dealing with “a couple of residents” but tens of thousands of users across several residential complexes, plain SQL queries start behaving like a coworker after Friday’s daily 😅
What we did: — moved user search to Elasticsearch — sped up the admin panel where “right now” responsiveness matters — kept convenient full-text search over a large database
At the same time, we collect DevFeedbacks and classify feedback into categories: charges, metering devices, payments, premises, residents. This helps us avoid guessing what to fix first and prioritize improvements based on the actual pain points users report.
Against the backdrop of the data-driven development trend, this is no longer a “nice to have” — it’s the baseline.
