4 deployment modes + E2E with TestContainers

In PDP Mobile, we set up 4 deployment modes right away: DEV, DEBUG, STAGE, PROD. Each has its own integration and feature flag configuration, so we don’t get the classic “it works on my machine, but on the environment it’s magic.”
On top of that, we built a full E2E test suite on TestContainers: PostgreSQL, Redis, MinIO. That means the tests run in an environment as close to production as possible, without any hand-waving or “we’ll fix it after release.”
A particularly nice detail is that our CRM system for UK runs in mock mode for tests. On development and in CI, we don’t depend on the external API, which means fewer flaky tests, fewer surprises, and fewer stressful calls.
Now that release velocity in IT keeps increasing, this kind of setup is no longer a luxury — it’s the baseline.
