Biometrics + PIN in PDP Mobile: we made login painless and kept security solid

In PDP Mobile, we introduced layered authentication: sign-in with Face ID, fingerprint, and a PIN. In other words, the “forgot my password, standing at the turnstile and nervously tapping the screen” scenario is no longer our vibe 😅
What’s under the hood:
- secrets are stored in Secure Keychain on iOS and Keystore on Android
- to protect against bots and bulk fake registrations, we added Yandex reCAPTCHA
- device data is protected with encrypted MMKV storage
In practice, we built a balance between UX and security: sign-in is fast for users, but without compromising safety. Against the backdrop of the recent hype around privacy and mobile-first security, this is no longer a “feature for later” but a basic requirement for any serious app.
