An audit trail that remembers everything — except secret ballots
In VoteBoard, we rolled out a full audit trail with 60+ event types in two modes: raw HTTP logs and processed business events. It helps you quickly understand who did what and when.

In VoteBoard, we rolled out a full audit trail with 60+ event types in two modes: raw HTTP logs and processed business events in plain language. That means you can either dive into the request details, or quickly understand who did what and when without having to decode everything at 3 a.m. in production 😅
Why does this matter? A real-world case: a shareholder disputes a decision in court. At that point, it’s no longer “looks like the button clicked itself” — you need precision down to the second. The audit trail records the entire path of the action.
One thing we were especially happy about was secret ballots: the system records the fact of voting, but not its contents. So we preserve anonymity without losing control. In an era when transparency and compliance are back at the top of the agenda, this kind of balance is no longer a nice-to-have — it’s a must-have.
